Secret Language
there's a secret smile, in the corner
of my mouth, these days
when I think of you
it's true
you know
you make me feel
good enough to be myself
I have no secrets from you, only
unexplored
realms, awaiting
discovery
there's a secret language, that
springs from my heart
that only you
hear
words.
containing
stories, explaining
all there is of me that's real
and you
feel me, in your dark
unyielding, I wield the light
that whispers, soothe, in your heart
that I hear your secret language
I am fluent in your suffering
murmer softly, stroking
I know you
and I,
love you so
very much simply because
there's a secret smile, in the corner of
my mouth these days
when I think of you
it's true, I'm
your friend
that's what I am...
of my mouth, these days
when I think of you
it's true
you know
you make me feel
good enough to be myself
I have no secrets from you, only
unexplored
realms, awaiting
discovery
there's a secret language, that
springs from my heart
that only you
hear
words.
containing
stories, explaining
all there is of me that's real
and you
feel me, in your dark
unyielding, I wield the light
that whispers, soothe, in your heart
that I hear your secret language
I am fluent in your suffering
murmer softly, stroking
I know you
and I,
love you so
very much simply because
there's a secret smile, in the corner of
my mouth these days
when I think of you
it's true, I'm
your friend
that's what I am...
