    To my demented poet clown:

    Artie, thank you for allowing me to write this...it was an honor.

    forever your humble hose-beast

    Artie posted a poem titled:  One Moment in Time
    This is my response to that poem.

    One Moment

     from across the room he caught my eye, magnetized
    the air between us sizzled as he stalked the space between
    like prey, he hunted me
    graceful, silent, smooth...the earth shifted as he moved
    I was hypnotized, my heart pounding
    light-headed, relearning how to breathe
    trembling as he came for me
    love burning in his eyes
    he stood before me
    I couldn't move, couldn't breathe
    my eyes traced the shape of his mouth
    and I looked down, so scared it was a dream
    he gently touched my chin and raised my eyes to his
    and smiled as my heart grew wings
    and flew to him in silent communion
    and I knew in him I'd found everything
    I'd hungered for so endlessly
    safe, in a moment out of time
    I fell...completely...irrevocably
    into eternity
    you sheltered me against your side
    with hand on cheek you were my guide
    deliberate motions could not hide
    the way the air electrified

    a playful breeze as eye meets eye
    in this moment somewhere out of time
    my hand I raised to touch your heart
    closed my eyes and came apart

    unwove all I will ever be
    so you would see the truth of me
    it was always you, underneath
    define me for eternity

    the first taste of your mouth on mine
    time was stopped as souls entwined
    this lonely life I'd traveled through
    was always leading me to you

    stars twinkling in the sky that night
    wrapped us in their shining light
    the moon broke into joyous song
    of destined love so true and strong

    but we, in private lovers sphere
    never knew the sky was there
    we'd found our ideal universe
    and in our love we were immersed

    awake each day in joy and wonder
    adventures and laughter, our sense of fun
    together face whatever comes
    together we're infinity, loving through eternity
    we've found the place where we exist
    beyond the pale,
    into forever
    love

    Oh teach me how to make the moon sing. You are very facile with language and brave in your uncensored, unvarnished truth. I would guess that would be part of the definition of Poet:

    This is now my favorite of yours - you're a writting machine and with the army of words moved forth to the hearts front your winning the battle. I like the poem within the story - Very well done my friend - keep up the inspiration
