compromise
spirit houses, flawed inherentlya summation of internal conflict
ever radiate bruising sentiment
make enemies without intent
stubborn righteousness wars
with unfamiliar sanctimony
in battles of futility
to mutual destruction
veiled inner turmoil concealed
beneath manners and consideration
civilized social contrivances
to smooth these dark passages
accommodations made
to different way
reasonable tolerance
to save the day
mutual agreements
of compromise
safe middle ground
comprised of lies
but still, there are lines
starting lines
finish lines
lines in the sand
lines
that should never be crossed
like the line that divides
right from wrong
what is right?
what is wrong?
who's to say?
man?
or God?
my line - razor thin
dance on it
pirouette
blithely pretend it does not exist
but you'll know
you've crossed it
when we end
