    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this because a single word in a song made me think of maggots. Simple as that. Also, the meaning is pretty obviously stated in the poem itself.

    We Are As Maggots

     We are as maggots
    Crawling over the surface of this dying world
    Devouring, consuming
    Mindlessly wasting all we come across
    And then we grow
    We grow and make more of ourselves, many more
    And they are like us
    Only more ignorant than we ever were
    And so our planet dies
    Fully destroyed by our gluttony and greed
    We are as maggots
    Repulsive, hideous, all-consuming...
    And everywhere

    great job hahahah i like this,i completely understand stand the poem and I kind of agree with it. Human kind is a huge disappointment. Hahahah. I think that is why morning thyme is my favorite time of the day the world is at peace then and it not infested with people every where for a few lovely moments.
