    Poem Commentary

    A simple, experimental piece, calling on all my past loneliness and desires. Very personal, but I do so love to share my work with you all. Enjoy!

    Desires

     I pine for the sound
    Of a caring whisper
    Telling me I am loved
    To calm my aching heart

    I need arms around me
    In a silent embrace
    Held tight to someone
    Safe for a moment

    I long for a gaze
    Piercing into my eyes
    Two souls seeing
    Deep into each other

    I yearn for fingers
    Interlocking perfectly
    Idle hands made happy
    Pressed so close

    I starve for a kiss
    To quiet my lips
    And to appease
    My silent needs

    I crave the warmth
    Of a body next to mine
    Snuggled up close
    For a long while

    I desire so many things
    Simple little actions
    And words so pure
    To lift my body up
