    Held High

     I hold so high this torch
    Burning strong with light
    Man tries to knock it down
    But I will always fight

    I cannot stand forever
    But I'll never let this die
    When hope abandons me
    I'll still hold it up on high

    When I seek guidance
    I think only of my flame
    And I never let it falter
    Despite the dark that came

    This world will be dark soon
    But I will always try
    I will stand by this light
    Even when the end is nigh

    This goodness in my soul
    This illuminating torch
    Will lift me to better things
    And darkness it will scorch
