Catacombs
Through catacombs I crawlSeeking an ancient fortune
By torchlight I am searching
In this deathly bastion
I delve in ever deeper now
Into these halls of death
This place makes me wonder
When I'll draw my last breath
Spiderwebs hand overhead
My every footfall echoes
With my every sneaking step
This gnawing fear within grows
I now hear whispering
Decrepit voices calling to me
I must be going insane
For such things cannot be
Shadows dance across the walls
It seems something else is here
The way the light plays
With my chest with fear
The smells of death surrounds
It fills these musky halls
And the voices still assault me
With their terrible calls
I feel as if I am not alone
Something is hiding in shadows
Yet still I press onward
Despite how my trepidation grows
The whispers grow louder now
As this reeking fills my lungs
The voices are clearer too
I hear their warning tongues
As cowardice begins to fill me
I find an ending place
The last of the stone walls
And gold to make my heart race
I reach out to grasp my prize
And two spirits rise by my sides
Another appears behind me
In this awful place where I died
