Chivalry Is Dead
Where are the knightsIn armor shining bright
Who need not power
With a love not sour?
Where are the men
Who take risks again
To prove their love
To their lady above?
What happened to
Trials and efforts true
To prove some worth
While on this earth?
Why are the colder ones
Embraced and not shunned
Above the kind at heart
And ever stalwart?
How did chivalry pass
As an ephemeral gas
Flying away so high
Beyond society's eye?
Do I alone live today
Among the muted gray
Or are others like me
Forever wondering
What happened to chivalry?
