    Things Left Unsaid

     Information has its price
    Gripping like a deadly vice
    But silence too has a toll
    Sounding as a death bell's knoll

    When the stressor hits
    Is it best to abandon your wits
    And speak clear and free
    Or to allow a quiet to be?

    Is it wiser to lose a friend
    Or to suffer on just one end?
    How I wish I had thought
    Before her help I sought...

    A muted tongue is burdened
    But not as much as the wind
    Carrying a message of pain
    Which garnered no gain

    Now with hurt in my chest
    I know silence is truly best
    I sit here feeling almost dead
    Wishing things were left unsaid
