    Poem Commentary

    Enslaved's "Frost" inspired this winter themed piece. Listen to the actual song though; its much more chilling than the positive sound i put the poem to.

    Frost

    Frigid winter chill
    Blows around me
    The snowfall comes
    Pure as can be
    Adding to the earth
    Blanketed already
    So very beautiful
    A wonder to see

    The stars shine
    Through the cloud
    Lighting all this
    Whiteness so loud
    To witness this now
    Makes me proud
    This gift of snow
    The world allowed

    Twinkling ice
    In this cool place
    Reflecting light
    Across my face
    It carries a feeling
    Words can't replace
    The glowing majesty
    Of this wondrous place

    I am overjoyed
    To be so very lost
    Upon this path
    I fortunately crossed
    This whole world
    Is beautifully glossed
    In the sparkle
    Of winter's frost

    Surely you yourself must notice how this beautiful piece of writing so overwhelmingly ranks higher than certain other boo-hoo poems. Not that there's anything wrong with boo-hoo poems....well, there is, but...nevermind. The point I'm trying to make is that this poem is excellent, and I hope to read more. A fellow Texan.

    that was a beautiful write dear, so very descriptive giving the reader a view of fresh snow even if they live in a place that has none like I do.......wonderful memories it gave to me.......thanks for this lovely poem......love asha

    Ironically, I haven't seen true snowfall, one that lasts a while, since I was extremely little. Glad you liked the read!
