I Ride On
Away toward the vale
'Neath a twisting gale
I ride on
Under the moon
With it's shimmering gloom
I ride on
Through lowland wood
Toward nothing good
I ride on
Off in the distance I see the light
The village is burning in the night
Young men slain litter the ground
Nothing but death here to be found
I ride on
Away toward the hills
My body now wills
I ride on
The path to the enemy
Is all I can see
I ride on
With sword in hand
I cross o'er the land
I ride on
A small outpost hidden in the hills
Approaching it gives me only chills
Coppery blood's scent taints the air
There is nothing but death there
I ride on
I ride on
With growing need
I increase my speed
I ride on
Up to the mountain
Toward the beast of sin
I ride on
It's land lies just ahead
One of shall soon lie dead
I ride on
Upon the peak the monster awaits
On approach I can hear the fates
Calling my name
Holding my blade in my hand
I leapt out to battle as I planned
Calling it's name
Hacking and slashing the night away
All the gods were with me that day
Screaming my name
A final strike and the monster is dead
I reach down and pick up it's head
Screaming it's name
And I,
I,
I ride on!
