Gentle Rain
I close my eyes and think"I hope it won't rain"
But I hear it coming
Soon it's raining again
I know rain is a good thing
It brings life to my world
But I wish it wouldn't come
When I'm so unfurled
It rains when it's unneeded
And never when I want
It's almost spiteful to me
So soft yet so very blunt
The thunder crashes now
Lightning in the air
With it's bright glowing light,
Nothing does it spare
The storm calms now
Sound slowly dies away
The skies are changing
Recovering from the gray
The storm becomes lighter
And I feel something within
There was never rain outside
I just stopped crying again...
