    Poem Commentary

    This little piece is about the first time I truly felt God moving within me. It was a beautiful experience, and I'm ever so happy to share it with you. Enjoy!

    God Within Me

     I was called down
    To the ground
    Knees buckling under
    As I feel the wonder
    Deep in prayer
    Beyond this layer
    This feeble mind
    In me I find
    His presence
    Drowning all sense
    I lose my being
    And all I'm seeing
    Is His light
    Lifting my blight
    I am unfurled
    Without the world
    Just God's grace
    In a shining place
    I'm breathing You in
    As You clear my sin
    The moment fades
    Earth again invades
    But I feel His love
    Holding me above
    All the darkness
    In total starkness
    From what was before
    I am now Your
    Agent of light
    For You I'll fight
    The purity in me
    Shines so godly
    I stand again
    Feeling within
    The heavenly control
    Of God within my soul
