Mending A Broken Beauty
And so she fell
The little doll did
Into the place
Where I had hid
She shattered
Here, on my floor
I picked her up
As I left the door
To my bench
I took the pieces
Removing her
Little torn fleeces
The naked body
With broken limb
Quietly repaired
With silent hymn
I sang softly
Within my head
Mending the toy
That lay in my bed
Piece by piece
Part by minute part
I slowly fixed
My broken heart
