When Nature Brings a Smile to Us All
A Frogs Orgy Call
I live on a circle,
of older folks these days.
For they all come to here,
when they reach retired age.
To a land that is flat,
with sunshine each day.
In the center of our circle,
a small pond was placed.
To catch all the rain,
that runs off the sand.
Most days it just looks,
like a dry sunken place,
As the seniors walk round,
our circle each day.
Nature played its trick,
on our quiet little place,
for thunderstorms did come,
and poured down the rain.
Filling our small pond,
yesterday and today.
I peek out my window,
to see what’s all this fuss.
Oh! My, such an ecosystem,
we have in our midst.
With rain came new life,
from our little pond to all.
Oh! My, such a scream,
from all those little frogs,
Hundreds and thousands
of orgy love calls.
I laugh as I hear,
those frogs love song,
seeking out a mate,
bringing new life, with a call.
Oh funny how it seems,
to all our seniors’, today,
as I hear their little comments,
when walking past,
my window bay.
Just listen to our pond,
come to life on this day.
A frog’s orgy love call,
to all suspected mates.
A smile it did bring,
to all in this place.
When nature told us all,
with the rain that came,
that life springs anew,
for each in its own way.
Enjoy all
love Asha
