Destinies Child
Sorrow, hunger & pain, destinies hand.
Would you give me a dollar for their sorrow?
Can you lend me a hand for a plan?
Their sorrow is all they have left for tomorrow.
Listen to the cries of the doomed of this land.
Hear the whispering thoughts of destinies child.
Can't remember what I did yesterday.
Or when they last time it was when I smiled.
I just sit on the corner counting the days.
My days are numbered, even though I'm just a child.
Yesterday I had a plan, that sounded real grand.
But today I still don't have that dollar yet.
Would that dollar feed all the hungry cross the land?
If you place a dollar in my hand, I be in your debt.
Every dollar does count for my plan.
Most will just drive by, never hear those hunger cries.
Those precious faces, so tortured with the pain of hunger.
So many little babes, millions of tears in their eyes.
Would you spare me that dollar for my plan, or are you just a monger?
The pain of hunger they will always know until they die.
Can you look into the face of sorrow?
And tell them you have nothing to spare.
Destinies child of hunger and sorrow, without tomorrow.
Just reach out a hand that cares, even if its bare.
Combined together will give so many less sorrow
Sorrow, hunger & pain, destinies hand.
Would you give me a dollar for their sorrow?
Can you lend me a hand for a plan?
Their sorrow is all they have left for tomorrow.
Listen to the cries of the doomed of this land.
Hear the whispering thoughts of destinies child.
Can't remember what I did yesterday.
Or when they last time it was when I smiled.
I just sit on the corner counting the days.
My days are numbered, even though I'm just a child.
No, one dollar would not do much for their sorrow.
But if I keep holding out my hand for my plan.
Would you spare that dollar for a better tomorrow?
Thats ok if you can't, I will not think of you less than.
I'll just keeping holding out my hand to end hunger tomorrow
