Ramblings Of Native Spirit 'Little Blackbird, Little Blackbird
Little Blackbird, Little Blackbird
Little Blackbird, Little Blackbird I see you watching me
Sitting in that little tree
Little Blackbird, Little Blackbird why don't you fly away?
I see you up there in that little tree
Just sitting there everyday looking at me
I came outside so you could talk to me
Why Little Blackbird, are you so sad in the early spring?
Little Blackbird he did look down at me
A tear in his eyes I did see
Words of sadness he did say
“I have lost my Little Dove”
“For she flew away and took my love”
“Said she found another”
“To make her nest above”
“Oh how sweet was my Little Dove”
“So here I sit in this little tree”
“Maybe she will come back to me”
His eyes cried more tears at me
Don't cry my Little Blackbird,
You can always talk to me
I know you'll find another
To set your heart free
Then you'll fly up high, into that big oak tree
And show your Little Dove
That you no longer grieve
Don’t sit there alone
In that little tree
Little Blackbird, fly away and be free
As you were meant to be
Life is too short for such a little one
to grieve
Will you sing your love song for me
Little Blackbird, Little Blackbird, I see you watching me
Sitting in that little tree
Little blackbird, Little Blackbird why don't you fly away?
I see you up there in that little tree
Just sitting there everyday looking at me
You may be small Little Blackbird
But the forest is big
So fly away Little Blackbird
Into that big old oak tree
There you will find another
When you sing that love song for me
Little Blackbird he did fly away
Up into that big oak tree
A lovely song I heard, just as I
Was starting to leave
