Mother Earths Pain
Mother Earths Pain
Oh! Mother Earth
You are a part of me
You gave this life to me
I am of the people
Giving thanks for thee
Great Spirit you are in me
I am in the trees, rivers, the seas
In the sky and earth with thee
Within the forest I can breath
I am a child of the Sun and Sky
Grandmother’s child of the Light
I feel your pain in the night
I am of the people in your plight
Dirty, grimy cities
Clog the air destroying life
Hands of destruction
You have overcome
Your strength will not be undone
Oh! Mother Earth
You are a part of me
You gave this life to me
I am of the people
Giving thanks for thee
Flow on down to me Mother
I seek the forest to be free
Where life can breath
With the morning sun
A spirit sails free
Seas flowing black as night
Destroying life with spite
Hands of destruction
You have overcome
Your strength will not be undone
Great Spirit you are in me
I am in the trees, the rivers, the seas
In the sky and earth with thee
Within the forest I can breath
I am a child of the Sun and Sky
Grandmother’s child of the Light
I feel your pain in the night
I am of the people in your plight
Great Spirit you are in me
I am in the trees, the rivers, the seas
In the sky and earth with thee
Within the forest I can breath
Flow on down to me Mother
I seek the forest to be free
Where life can breath
With the morning sun
A spirit sails free
Oh! Mother Earth
You are a part of me
You gave this life to me
I am of the people
Giving thanks for thee
