One Son
Bagpipes, Indian Drums,
And One Son
Friends often ask us: "Which one is he most
like, the Indian in Mommy or the Scotsman
in Daddy?"
Happy, as can be, is he, as we dance around
the ring. With happiness in my heart, I see
as he dances with me. With quick little feet,
he dances to the drumbeat around the sacred
ring. With a little bow and arrow in his
hand, he chases his prey with his other little
Indian friends.
A proud father indeed, as he is pulled
toward the marching bagpipers, by his little
one of three. with a claymore of plastic and a
little knife stuffed in tiny kilt, he runs
through the camp, with his little friend Mac,
in search of a Campbell, that they might
attack. As the clans line up to march the
parade, there is so much excitement, he
cannot wait, in his little sash kilt,
waving his claymore about.
They can see his is thrilled as they march
along. It is we who are truly thrilled to
know he is marching for clan MacNeil. He
is happy to dance in either ring.
God loves all little MacNeils.
