Cherished, for all times
A gift from God’s own hand
Placed into my arms of love

Months of waiting & praying to unite
Then perfection is brought before my eyes

Placed into my arms was a face of an angel
Counting all toes and fingers
God’s gift of love, perfected once more

Could not continue together to live

Love forsake not this child so small

Too young was your understanding

Waited I did, holding my heart in my hand
Then finally a glimpse of precious smile again
