My Dark Abode
Darkness decends the heart
reach out grabs the emptyness
is this a test of lifes cruelness
In the darkness one cannot see
a hand reaches only dust it seems
a room just walls no exits
the darkness that creeps in
stealing the life of a soul
wings of spirit no longer soar
close in these walls no more
tear at them forever more
no light can penetrate this heart
surronded by the dark
that creep in inspite
no hands can see in this place
of dark without light
I am here echos off those walls
oh this darkness so bold
keeps its strong hold
run to that wall that cold
fists do pound make no hole
only darkness can exists
in this room no end to this
open up you dark abode
let me spirit out not darkness hold
the light it must have
or too dust it will go
fists pound to the echoing sound
of my dark abode
