Just A Country Girl
Just A Country Girl
More Ramblings of My Mind
Most of my friends see me as who I am
Just a simple country girl
With a heart of gold
To share with all her friends
So they snagged me with a name
One that wills you to live, a life of fame
Close friends and family call me Angel
A name that stands out fighting any shame
So, I polish that halo surrounding my life
I look towards the light everyday in my plight
So I can always share with others
A piece of spirit to brighten their life
Just as they have touched mine
With friendship and love that fills my heart
With kind loving words right from the start
So can I beat my own drum in this..just this once?
A simple little piece of country girl
Shared with friends each and every one
Well I guess so, just this one time, I’ll let it show
For you can’t go around singing your own praises
Unless you want others to think of you as jaded…lol
Anyway, just a simple country girl
From the mountains of Tennessee
Is all I am, can’t you see
With my Native American spirit
I give love and thanks as the Sun rises each day
For the gifts from Mother Earth
For all Her creatures on this land
She shares each day with Her loving Hand
With a love for putting pen in hand
Making pretty words to share with friends
An eye to the camera exposes
My true love on this land
I make friends easily where ever I go
Cause my heart is so big
That it always shows
A love and kindness where ever I go
Just a simple ‘Loves ya bunches’
Shows a heart from the mountains
Giving love to all I call dear friends
Tread lightly on this precious gift of mine
At times it comes back filled with sour brine
The hurt of a gift of love freely given in one’s life
Can be a hurt that lasts for all times
Okay so do I beat my chest now?……lol
I’ve sung my praises now my face does show
Rosey cheeks of red, so I think its time to go..
Loves ya all bunches
