Tidal Waves
My praise is like a
Tidal wave that crashes
On the shores, and you
See me no more-
All you see is the
After-image of a work
That has already been done…
My praise is like a
Tidal wave that will
Never cease or stop;
And something on the
Inside of me is Dying
To Get Out and show the
World what my life
Really is all about…
Tidal waves of praise
Flow from my lips and
Thru my blood, down to
The fingertips- I jump ship
And walk on water trying
To get close to Jesus…
I’m jumping and screaming
On the inside! Be-cause
I just want to see Jesus!
Tidal waves of joy
That can never be altered-
I may stumble, trip or falter
In my speech, but not my heart-
From the depths of my soul
Is where true praise starts and
Like a tidal wave, It’s Strong
And will never ever die…
As long as I have my
Hands and eyes, I just
Can’t help the songs
That come from my lips-
As I jump ship- I flip
All rhyme and reason
Because this is the season
For true praise that
Moves like a tidal wave.
My God is the ocean
And my praise is like
The great tidal waves-
I’m enslaved by just
How Great God is and
I have to give him praise.
