    Poem Commentary

    This is my version of a the hymn entitled, "Because He Lives" written by William and Gloria Gather.

    Re-Vision

     I can gladly die tomorrow
    Because He lives Today-
    As I dismiss every thought,
    Every feeling, every word,
    That people have to say
    Because,
    What they say
          has no merit-
    It's because He lives Today...

    Yes, He is alive Today,
    I need no scientific proof...

    Laugh at the Hortons, if you wish,
    Make fun of the Noah's too!
    Say the Lot's
         Of this world 
                 are crazy as hell!
    Do what you want to do.

     Just say that
    He does not exist,
    That it's all in my mind-
    Call me insane, if you wish,
    While I smile at you
               with a peace
    That is beyond what you can
    Find or ever comprehend,
    I can laugh at you, my friend-
    Because He Lives Today.
