All I want is a family
That can put past
Differences aside and
Let go of pride by
Holding on to what’s
Most important in life-

That Your’s and Mine’s
Mentality becomes Ours as
We learn to accept each
Other for our differences
And learn from each
Other’s strengths and weaknesses….

 All I want is a family
That doesn’t argue and fuss
Because they don’t trust
Each other-They lie to
Themselves if they think
That having a relationship
Is not all that important.

 All I want is family
That will open their eyes
To grow to be better
And realize, that compromising
Isn’t the issue-it’s about
Teaching values that will
Last a lifetime; All the
Security in the World
Can’t Replace Un-taught Values.

 I’m sick of seeing
Dads not stepping up
To the plate and poor
Single Moms raising up
Their children alone while
Dad is at work or Dad
Just left period because
He didn’t want the
Responsibility of raising kids.

 I’m sick of seeing kids
Talk back to their parents
And older siblings thinking
What they do is okay…

Their thinking is way off
From what it should be…
Parents should teach their
Kids how to love people!

 Lord, all I want is
A family that truly
Loves You and reflects
The love You gave them
In everything that they do.

 All I want is a family

That is complete in You.
