    Poem Commentary

    Even blue hearts can become red again with the right kind of love.

    Purple Heart

    A Soldier of the sky
    Saw your silent tears
    As you said to yourself,
    You will never love again...
    That love will never last,

    Out on the field,
    He sat in trenches for you
    To know His love,
    He sent letters telling you
    Through paper and ink
    Sharing His world with you....

    His words bled endlessly
    Down to the earth
    Can you imagine why He
    Would risk His life for you?

    Because He saw you
    Losing breath as death gripped
    It's arms around your waist...
    He took your place so
    You would never have to die-

    That's why, I say, love will
    Never die as long as He is alive!
    His Purple Heart beats
    To see you love again...

    I like this poem and the metaphore of a soldier for the deeds Jesus done for his.

    Thank you very much...yes...thats exactly what this poem means...I am so blessed that the Lord has spoken this to you clearly.

    In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
