No Baby Here
I am not looking for a babyOn the streets, nor do I see
The baby mama giving birth
To confusion, chaos or drama-
This is not what I see
When I look into the eyes
Of Eternity and Divinity
Sleeping outside with the sheep...
I'm not looking for carols,
Candy Canes, trees littered
With lights, balls and bows
For I am past all the hype
Of seasons and I am not looking
For Salvation to come on talk shows-
What I am looking for goes beyond
What anyone out there can see...
So please, excuse me, if I sound
A little anti-climatic, I have nothing
To sell or buy, I am not looking
For a baby sitting in a nativity scene
Outside some big, fancy church!
I am looking for a Savior
Who can save me from the
Life I live right now!
From where I sit, there
Is no baby here!
