Enthusiasm: God Within
Unfolding forth from deep within this me,
I feel the love and the yearning and the joy to be:
My life, that feels so full and free--
Happy here and now; and hopeful new life to see;
My self, made in God's image "I am"--on days that flower and flee.

Michael: Godlike one.
Like water--living--reflecting the glorious light of the sun.
My brief lifetime--bright and bounteous before eternity.
Though small and frail and mortal--perhaps striving futilely--
Doomed to die too soon--even sooner than my genetic mortality--
And perhaps my everything will become nothing, for final futility--
Vanishing into timeless worldless void--all in vain--all vanity:
Still, my little now feels like the start of eternity;
Still, my little here feels like part of infinity.
I thank God for my here and now--for my life--no matter what will be.

God made me.
I, made by God--I, by God's breath living--I, made like God to be.
Though small and frail and mortal, with unknown final fate facing me.
My mind embraces life and love passionately--
Looking for light in the densest dark--looking for hope in the fiercest fate.
I have read libraries of learning, and I write my essays of philosophy;
But, oh! The light! I long for the light!
While the black and white of day and night like mice gnaw away.
I hold tight to the light of life while it shines, and I write my heart in my poetry.
Poesis: The power to create.
Entheos: God within.
Love of life: To enjoy the good and endure the bad of fate.
Life loved intensely--
Thirst for life--and hunger forever to be.

My "I am."
This reflection and reality of God within me--
Though I am small and frail and mortal, with unknown fate facing me--
I thank God for giving me life, and making me one,
In the image of "I am'--I shall thank God to the day my life is done--
That my life like a mortal moon reflects the brightness of the sun--
How ever briefly.

My life--
Oceanic and deep--full of wonder and terror--grieved inconsolably--invincibly happy.
My mind knows the world--full of magic and miracle I sense and see.
My heart knows you, loves and cares about you--for you are like me:
Image of God within: Entheos--I am: My self, as shining as a sunlit sea.
