THE JOURNEY - A Poetic Quadruple thru time
The 1960's
RHYTHMIC REVOLUTION Music throbbing to a beat, That emanate from poet‘s feet, And drive our love for acid rock, To frisco where the faithful flock; Notes symbolic to our lives, Friend's turning straight before our eye's, Demonstrating for unheard causes, decreasing in number's from all our losses; People dyeing for "Revolution", Seems to be the only solution, To end this "Bloody" fuss...for us…… It's a MUST!

A MEMORY
The Shouting Queen of Rock and Roll,
a wailing, whirling singer;
clutching mike would sing out Blue's,
with help from Maury Baker.
That heavy singing sister,
that kept the people coming,
was known to every blue's rock listener, as the famous Janis Joplin. ------------------- A REFLECTION 1980 A decade has passed, since we lost our rock queen, The old rock's turned Disco, to please the young teen's; The campuses are quiet, no more riot's in store, The war has been over, No resistance movement roar; Eastern religion's diminished, no longer the thing, Elvis Presley is dead, long live the king; Mohammed Ali's retired, Nixon's past history, The peanut farmer's our President, for how much longer we'll see; Yes, the times are a changing, and it sure won't be long, till, to the younger generation, today's memories belong. ---------- AQUARIUS What's become of the passion the sixties held dear, the "Flower Power" children without any peer's. The "New Age" had dawned as put forth by "Hair", as brother's and sister's all things were shared. We had Love Beads and Peace Signs our bodies once bore, to echo our value's of "Make Love not War". We spoke simple to friend's "Man", "Far Out", That was Groovy", now recalled only through "Woodstock" the movie. A unique span in time when we got it together, despite Nam over sea's, Racial Riot's, "Watts" ever. We had drugs then "For Sure", without any apologies, it was a part of the experiment, subculture amenities. I Know we weren't perfect, though our love seemed unequaled, but you had to be there my friend, as there will not be a sequel.
