Why do Christians speak in terms

Unknown to fellow men,

When we ask in all sincerity

Have you been “Saved” or “Born Again“?

It’s not because we’re special

Or speaking in secret code,

We’re simply using God’s own words

That the Scriptures have bestowed.

For the Bible speaks quite clearly

Of the condition of our heart,

That we’re born with a sin nature

So from God we’re set apart.

This sin of which we’re guilty

Is a transgression of God’s law,

Which demands a perfect sacrifice

In answer to God’s call.

For this sacrifice in which we speak

God sent His only Son,

To come to earth and give His life

To die for everyone.

Then resurrect in victory

To leave an empty grave,

As a testimony to all men

That only He can save.

Then rise from this earth visibly

Received into the clouds,

To take His place in Heaven

To judge, who of us are allowed.

That’s why we need confess our sin

And ask Jesus in our heart,

To forgive all our transgressions

So we’ll be ready to depart,

To spend all of our eternity

In God’s celestial home,

Surrounded by Saved loved one’s

In the presence of God’s Throne… Shalom.
