Seasoned Menu
Reprieved from winter’s fridged hold
As March winds whirl in twister style
And watch the clouds as scrolls unfold
That stream across the sky in file.
The effect against the skies deep blue
Of lithesome fingers of snowy white
Though they be but long and few
Remind me of a marbled rye.
So fitting is it I perceive
That spring is sandwiched in between
An iceberg salad of winter leaves
And summer’s simmering soupy scene.
