My Library
My library’s all encompassing
It’s scope is grandiose,
I’m privileged as it’s steward
And I’m humbled as it’s host.
As I delve into it’s treasures
And experience it’s truth,
I leave behind all vanity
In a scholarly pursuit.
One day I read it’s mysteries
The next I read it’s prose,
Then maybe a biography
As I quietly repose.
Then poetry to stir one’s soul
And law to know what’s right,
And science and man’s history
Of how our origins came to light.
Then prophesy tells our future
And the Gospels relate God’s plan,
Of how in love God sent His Son
To die for sinful man.
So of all the books available
For a library to be complete,
That contain all that I’ve mentioned
The Holy Bible is replete.
