Lost In Translation
The assumption of certain gestures
Leads to misunderstand their meaning
For gestures can be most ambiguous
Most of the times very misleading.
If another took a glance at you
Walked a way, shaking the head
Without the utterance of a word
Would the gesture be misread
Should you consider it an insult?
Would it be a bone of contention?
In any way would it occur to you?
An insult was not the intention
Would body language mattered,
maybe added a smile instead?
Would that have been better
Than a gesture with the head
Many have strange meanings
and othere even more stranger
Some are terms of endearment
while, others are meant to anger
The assumptions of certain gestures
Before knowing what’s meant
will all too often be misread
Losing in translation their intent
