A Poet's Best Friend
The greatest Invention known to man
A word processor a poet’s best friend.
If a mistake is made when almost done
no need to panic or start over again
If there’s a part that’s out of place
It’s all so simple as clip and paste
Add or dele from an ongoing piece
No sheet of paper one has to waste
There’s a downside to this machine
To think otherwise would be naive
Unlike paper there’s no trashcans
If not safely stored can’t be retrieved.
Early and often the work must be saved
Or a surge could send it to an early grave
