Shame On Me
May the world leave me alone today
For me and my God to talk things out
He tells me to allow my body to decompose
Let It be rich soil for the earth
May the heavens stretch me along sedimentary rock
Each line a different obstacle I once overcame
Times have been tough, I must say
The world has taught me the ways of the world
To be somebody, because I am discontent with myself
“I am discontent with myself.”
In a vivid reality I know this not to be true
But what has the world taught you?
Engulfed with anxiousness, covered by cancers
I ask the divine for guidance
He tells me to take off my clothes upon clothes
My mask upon masks
To shine my inner rays of light
I tell him, yes my god, thank you for me
I step outside my door and it is dark
Devils all around,
They try to shame on me.
