Love Was Once Green
If only your eyes were green like when we first began talking, back when your voice was gentle beckoning my mind to write the words, "I love you." Past tense back when my feelings meant something to you because before nothing, there was something. If only your hair was long like it used to be, back in those days when I was free, and did not have to keep my hands near my tongue in fear I would say something wrong. Oh where could have we been this very moment if you would have stayed the way you were, and had a positive attitude. I find the beauty in the ugly, the way you used to see, before you noticed all the microscopic ugly in the beautiful. Just because my dreams are lies, I do not control them when I sleep, I'm right with the world at night, may I guide your lips to taste this ripe slice of moon in the sky. If only you could see things my way like you used to, so I saw yours. Until I became abused, cut up and used, hung from a razored rope, your electric tasered scope eyes expose the black better, glow in the dark sun setter, star collector, red infected black dissected; if only your eyes were green like they used to be.
