    My mind is like a tree
    It just keeps growing
    Towards the sky
    Stretching out under ground

    Branches forming branches
    Creating leaves
    Shedding dreams
    Three Colors

    Selfless
    Genuine &
    Selfish

    Chapter I:  Selfless

    Everyone Lovely
    Beautiful as scenic views
    Eye prints confined captured lens
    Sense of time differs with every unique sentence said
    I love them all
    I will give them all I have to give.

    Chapter II:  Genuine

    Real boy in a land of wooden toys
    Land of lies
    I sit and sigh
    A plastic manikin I enjoy
    I have not suffered the loss
    of right and wrong

    Chapter III:  Selfish

    Which I'm not
    Pretending I'm God
    A selfish God which we praise
    Which I'm not

    Although I swim like a shellfish

    Requiems and Metaphors,
    Hi-hat stands and _______ (Symbols)
    Such a complex mind for such a simple life
    My little tree of hope

    I like how you formed this poem into little chapters. Your imagery here is delightful. The words are strong and powerful. I could read this over and over. Great work. Perfect 10

    i see the road you were going down. it seems to me you have added to much ideas into this poem. although u broke up each idea. i just had an assumption of the title going in which is probably my problem. all in all i love the uniqueness of this poem, but i do wish you put more of a melody in it.
