Orange as the Sunrise
I am the un-defined
The chameleon spectator spy
Just slowly passing by
Divine with grace
Tracing temptation in place
Towards the spiders web
I have been mislead
Towards direction of understanding
Picking apples from the tree
This one is too ripe, this one too red
This one too bitter, this one too sweet
There’s something about this tree
I can never find
But behind me
Sits strawberry fields
Peach trees and kiwi
Watermelon and mango
Blackberries and grapes
Nectarines and oranges
As orange as the sunrise
My eyes wide towards the dark
Picking apples naïve with remark
The chameleon spectator spy
Just slowly passing by
Divine with grace
Tracing temptation in place
Towards the spiders web
I have been mislead
Towards direction of understanding
Picking apples from the tree
This one is too ripe, this one too red
This one too bitter, this one too sweet
There’s something about this tree
I can never find
But behind me
Sits strawberry fields
Peach trees and kiwi
Watermelon and mango
Blackberries and grapes
Nectarines and oranges
As orange as the sunrise
My eyes wide towards the dark
Picking apples naïve with remark
