Kids
This boy lives in a land of teddy bears
Blanket tents and super men flying in skys
Paper airplanes with pencil passengers
Outlined stick figures with souls and personalities
You would think they’re action figures
Flying their own kites
The competition of who can fly higher
On the 3rd step of the stairs I stand 6 feet high
Wondering what it will be like one day
As all the other kids play on swings and handle bars
While I play with my fire truck, zoom, zoom
Followed by high pitched sirens I screech with my lips
All grown up now
Kids in bars drinking their misery away
Their broken childhood away, away I sit
Watching from the greenest hill in Iceland
I am the protector, may I protect you
And save you from this land
Of greed and corruption.
Blanket tents and super men flying in skys
Paper airplanes with pencil passengers
Outlined stick figures with souls and personalities
You would think they’re action figures
Flying their own kites
The competition of who can fly higher
On the 3rd step of the stairs I stand 6 feet high
Wondering what it will be like one day
As all the other kids play on swings and handle bars
While I play with my fire truck, zoom, zoom
Followed by high pitched sirens I screech with my lips
All grown up now
Kids in bars drinking their misery away
Their broken childhood away, away I sit
Watching from the greenest hill in Iceland
I am the protector, may I protect you
And save you from this land
Of greed and corruption.
