"Canvas Dreams"
Face down in the bathtub, my head to the side with my ear pressed against the white water. I can hear the slow motion sound of drops, I can hear them escaping through the pipes underneath. I turn around to look at the ceiling, my space is peeling chipped paint looking for more room. My darkest secrets, all behind 2 layers of curtains, the comfortable colors worsen my pain by design. The tiles dirty and cracked like a black widows web, what I say, I don’t mean. It seems like everything is trying to relate in some insignificant matter of fate. Life, what will it bring, what has it brought, nothing but horror and happiness, there’s a moment in everyone’s life when we begin to notice the craftiness. The dreams, are they what they are, they say sleep reasons with awake for a short instant in between. How to explain something so simple into a complicated masterpiece, I better awake before I drown.
