    Discern a Dream
    Upon the pavement we sleep calm and cool
    So submerged in weather that weeps
    Drenched faces within dreams, clandestine tears
    Misplaced years of grace and harmonious song
    Chasing cats and racing the deadliest of bats
    Climbing trees, mounting, and discovering skys

    Eyes marble blue like the purest oceans
    Crafting potions within interior words that herd
    Nevertheless heard but never said to bed
    Treading treatments bleeding cement red pens

    At this cemetery I sit with simplicity of symmetry
    Symptoms of sympathetic piercing high-hat symbols
    Methodical medicines of medieval elementary
    Elements secondary within evidence of contrary

    I prolong waking to waves
    Dreams astride dreams
    Decaying on the avenues of new lives
    I can’t seem to expose the signs

    So I shall continue to sleep so shallow
    In the shadows of darkness in dreams
    One of the most amble ways to discern a scream.
