tic toc tic toc
the clock ticks slowly away,
heads buried in the sand
zipped lips with nothing to say.
Drunk on political wine
and high on life's affair,
they don't discern that times at hand
and curse the light that's there.
It's going to rain the prophet shouts
get in the boat; the end is near,
but the people laugh and cry
the skies look oh so clear.
tic toc tic toc
midnight is almost here
but they people dance and play
as if they know no fear.
Filled with passions and steeped in self,
rude, faultfinding and queer,
practicing treasured sins
to which they hold so dear.
tic toc tic toc
the alarm is about to go off,
but the people laugh and sneer
and at the truth they give a scoff.
Where is coming? I've heard this before,
still I am here, you see,
there is nothing going to happen
leave me alone and let me be.
Rapture ready some do say
a one trip ticket they'll flee,
Oh man of deceptions course and greed
"Only the TRUTH can set you free."
