    Journey

     Why do I journey this distance
    alone I travel this ride,
    never knowing for certain
    into the darkness I hide.

    Wanting to spread my wings now
    wanting to spread them wide,
    I cry out mercies echo's
    Oh God how I try.

    Never reaching my heaven
    never knowing why,
    I turn away from evil
    he's there at every stride.

    Come take my hand
    lead me away from here,
    I don't know where I'm going
    Oh God hold me near.

    Why do I journey this distance
    alone unsatisfied,
    never knowing for certain
    into the darkness I ride.

    I like the way every other line rhymes except for the 4 stanza! Good poem! Nice portayal of God and a journey!

    A journey that most people must confront at some point in their life ..... Filled with uncertainty, difficult to continue but comforting knowing that God is on our side _____ Well Done!
