    Poets have been inspired by the daisy...

    Why a daisy and not a rose she asked?
    Green is the stem
    White the petals
    and yellow the stigma
    Green pastures, ambient emeralds
    White washing waves, dazzling diamonds
    Yellow warming sun, alluring apatite
     largest plant family in the world
    the daisy stands for modesty and simplicity...
    for innocence, purity and love
    A wildflower from the aster family 
    daisies bring sunshine into people's lives
    and a rose?
    It may have a heavenly scent,
    But it is covered in thistles...
