    War, peace, destruction, earth, culture, religion

    Peace and understanding...


    Together we could stand united 
     on sweet earth, natures shell
     open minded and embracing
    yet we paint war creating hell

    Why do we torture innocent men
    starve children, hurt those in need
    We live in a beautiful garden
    yet man has become a weed

    Every powerful gunshot echoes
    each child is reduced to tears
    We have the strength of love
    yet plague our world with fear

    There is room for many cultures
     colour, religion, each belief
    Our lives should be contented
    For our time on earth is brief

    War rears it's ugly head
    Causing heartache, hurt and pain
    as every beautiful sandy beach
    starts of as a single grain

    We could live in harmony together
    without screaming or demanding
    we could learn from one another
    embrace peace and understanding
