    Give over to freedom

     Just for a moment forget whos in power
    Where is the strength in our darkest hour
    It doesn't lie in government or their  rules
    If truth be said we may be run by fools
    We let them up but they let us down
    They order a war, to await a crown
    It is man whom gives us wisdom and hope
    The energy from a friend to help us cope
    Wait carefully and seek out all the signs
    It doesn't lie with soldiers in their lines
    Thou shall not judge, but religion follows war
    Love is the key so whats this fighting for?
    Follow your heart you'll find what is right
    Give over to freedom, leave the rest to fight

    I like this diddy! It has a message with follow through. I felt a desire to add a word in places for meter but overall a Nice write!

    what is right or what is not is determined by many a bigot the rest of us our brains are washed while helpless beings lives are bashed. Rachel your poem is very appropriate to the modern world.

    War and strife are so undesirable, but the ones with the power, make it seem desirable to those who willfully hate one another...we all have to sift things with a sieve just to prove to ourselves what is right for us. A wonderful poem, Rachel..........
