Operation: The Old Mansion Poem 3
And so this team of 12 SWAT men will enter the Old Mansion in search for many of the missing villagers, including the bodies of three recently disappeared teenagers and the town’s Holy Priest. As you can see, these men are highly trained and well suited for dealing with any unknown people that may have caused these suspicious murders. Let’s interview the leader of one of the teams of 6 men. Sir! How do you see this operation going? Well, I suspect we will find the perpetrators and arrest or eliminate them, we have no idea what to expect or find but it is quite clear we will find whoever is doing this and bringing them to justice. Thank you, back to you!
Quickly my team walked beside team two and stopped at the door
Upon getting the ram, we bashed our way in, yelling “SWAT! On the floor!”
No one stirred, no footsteps, yells, or even a curse
Just a big empty house that smelled like week old shit or worse.
Our teams both went separate ways
That is where I said my prayer to the end of days
Our comm. Link was on, all 12 and those men at head base
Our raid had begun, “Let’s go make some noise!”
Quickly we walked, our gun at the ready
Every room seemed to be smelly and empty.
I remember one part, I was walking and I heard a loud crack
I looked down to see I just broke a skeleton bird’s back
Then I looked at the floor all around
Remains everywhere! I stooped to the ground
I sent a message, via comm, alerting them of this find
Then my team and I continued our climb
We turned a corner, the light on our guns blaring in the black abyss
The windows all barred, making it ghostly and lifeless
Room after room! Nothing but rotting walls and floors as I turned a corner
And there in my face, a sign of true horror!
On the wall at the end of the hall, there lay a pentagram on the wall
Again I relayed this info to the team and head, and then I heard a raven caw
I turned my gun with the light to the room just to my right
And in the center was a rocking rocking chair, with a raven on the right side
When the light turned on him, he turned his head to the side
A subtle meaning in his gesture, the light made him red eyed
I turned my gun away, walking slowly down the hall
And to my left came a tiny door, just a crawl hole
My team took our positions, time seemed to ebb by
We bashed in the small door, but there was nothing left to find
There was nothing there, only a long small room
We got up slowly, and we reported and continued on.
We came at last to a set of stairs, leading up
So we decided to climb, but halfway we had to stop
I swore I saw little legs and a dress run into one of the rooms to the right
Second door I believe? As up I slowly climbed.
We checked our corners, and we came to the second to the right
I peeked my light inside, nothing, but yet something caught my eye
I brought my light back for a second take, and what was there to find?
A holy book by god himself, you’ll never guess what’s inside!
I opened the holy book, every pages was soaked in dry blood
I reported my find to my head and teams, we did all we could
But still there were many places to search, so back at it we went
Down the long mildew halls, that lacked a good scent
Up to the third floor, of this dark mansion
And on my comm. I heard my second team talking and they began to mention
Suddenly there was a yell, and shots fired from the other side of the house
All of my team crouched down, and went quieter than a mouse
Both head and my team tried repeatedly to reach any of them
No answer from their mics, I wonder what has become of them
We quickly moved back down the stairs, there was no time for caution
We needed to find the bodies of our men, and pay back those who killed them
We ran all the way, and up another flight of stairs
And there we found a body, blood matted his hair
I crouched down to check him, and sent my team forward
He and another moved forward, their boots creaking on the floor
Slowly the checked the room to the right, when the first man yelled out a curse
I looked up to see him fly backward, and there stood a demon with horns
He had the legs of a goat, and torso of a man, and the head of a bull
And out came a second, before I grabbed my gun, he held a… tool?
No it was a Trident, and he ran it through the second
The other four of my team opened fire, the demons laughed and beckoned
Our bullets had no effect, we shot them in the chest and head
“Damn you demons!” I heard a member, and my heart filled with dread
I saw him charge forward, his war knife drawn and gleaming
With which he plunged deep into a demon, which howled and started screeching
The second grabbed my man, and tossed him like a leaf through the wall
In turn I drew my knife, and charged at the demons preparing to give them my all
Head kept demanding to know what was going on
While my men and I were fighting, knowing something was very very wrong
The two demons drew back; they ran down the corridors, bellowing something strange
My men and I recovered, only the three of all 12 of us remained
We get out now! I ordered, and had a man fill head in
We quickly headed toward the stairs, from which we entered in
Flying down the stairs, a sight no man would ever see
We stopped dead, when we found a new enemy
There standing in 5 perfect lines,
Were the remains, of many a man’s lives
Their bones, whether possessed or by unholy magic
Stood defiant, blades drawn out, Fantastic…
They stood at the ready, not moving or uttering a sound
My men stood behind me, feet firmly planted to the ground
I drew my hand gun, being forced to leave my main behind
I aimed at the dead man’s forehead, I really prayed to god this time
I told head that there was a possibility, we wouldn’t make it out
And there, I slowly squeezed my trigger, up stairs I heard a demon shout
My bullet fired from my gun, and so time seemed to slow down
I saw it in slow motion, as the skeleton crippled to the ground
The others didn’t move, as if frozen in place
And I could sense the smile in the face of one of my team mates
“It will take more than tricks to fool us!” he declared up the stairs
And immediately walked at the skeletons, no sign of remaining fears
He turned back to us, taking one final step back
What? Come on! Is it bravery that you lack?
And before the two of us, we saw the sword go through his chest
His eyes widened big, before the blade had a chance to retract
I saw that he knew he was dead, before his body even touched the floor
And in an instant I knew what they did, to the dead in that door
I looked sideways at my only companion, his eyes wide with fear
And I turned my head back to the skeletons, and I could help but let out a tear
“For our men!” I declared, and heartlessly opened fire
And my only man left, let out a yell, and let his gun blaze fire
And before us, all 5 rows of dead lay unmoving
And the hallway down the floor seemed dementedly daunting
I picked up my soldiers auto, and dragged his body from the floor,
And I peaked in every room that went by, always expecting more
At the end of the hall, I sent my ex-SWAT member down
And here I thought it over, wondering with a frown
“What?” my last member asked, as he covered me by the door
Nothing let’s get the fuck off this second floor!
I left the body of my member, and we quickly ran down the second set.
Only to find more enemies, just standing there waiting for us
The room was packed with dead, in no specific order
The dead just stood there looking at us, all silent soldiers
I started shooting, I won’t die so easily!
They all started charging, as if they all were crazy!
I heard my last member yell, a trident through his face
I turned around to see I hand grab my throat and hoisted me into place
I felt my back hit the wall, the demon, his eyes gold yellow
He just stared into mine, a chuckle, deep and mellow
A little girl came up; I have seen her before…
Those little legs and that dress! I saw her on the second floor!
She walked up slowly, and looked at me, everything went dead quiet
She shifted and grew taller, she now had horns, and she was a demon
Humans, the deep satanic voice spat,
Foolish pathetic rats!
And the demon tossed me to the floor, amongst the remains of mice and rats
Join your brethren! Those below my feet, I prey upon you like a cat!
From ashes to ashes! As the dead vermin rose
From dust to dust! As they swarmed by body
They began to bite me, and rip off my flesh
And so die! And Lord Satan himself, ripped out my heart
