a king among betrayal
sit now and listen, to the words of an old mansit and hear me speak, of a king, a king of the land
he was a great man, so many, back then, would say
for he was law and judge, every night, and every day
fear was his weapon, and he weilded it with skill
fear, ultimately, is what will make him an assassin's kill
he had the heart of a warrior, never backing down
peace treaties, he scoffed, whenever ambasadors came around
he laughed to himself, weaklings they all seemed
he chuckled to himself, as his golden crown gleamed
he had no fear for his people, whom he held with a stone hand
its the people from afar, that he feared would take his legacy and land
but little did he know, or even suspect, his own people plotted
silent in the dark, the peered, they saw, and they spotted
for he was far, far too wealthy, never sharing with the poor
so far was his greed, he still even taxed the eldest and poor
so the people coulsoled, a midnight now long gone by
in the darkness they plotted, this king, he must die
so they decided, as they counsoled in the night
to hell with the lord, this prestigious man up high
volunteers stood, silent in the night, waiting for their time
shrouded in dark robes, they watched and waited in their line
the counsol stood, and turned to the five brave men who waited
they gave them their blessings, and told them what was to be expected
they all knew, and nodded in their own way
the night was ending, the dawn of a new day
quickly and quietly, they all left their seperate ways
this king, this tyrant, shall meet his end of days
the day passed, and night again begun
in the time that lapsed, graced by the father, and the son
the holy spirit, give them guidance
for justice as bright, as the sun's radiance
they all met just before the palace gates
they all stood silent, and watched as they wait
the guards unmoving in the deep dark calm
silent, so silent, they drew their arm
with skill and precision, they aimed for the kill
arrows lodged in their bodies, the guards fell
the gates now free, the moved quickly in
through the front doors, domination began
they moved to the court yard, silent and sure
they five split up, every man, make blood pour
they all went their own ways, guards on patrol fell
the night was young, and there was more to send to hell
the courtyard was taken, all guards dead on patrol
next to the towers, and take down the wall
the guards fell, keep watch over the bombardments
red blood flowed from the bodies, staining their arms and garments
silent and sure, the five moved further on
into the keep, their ordeals will be made into legend and song
the crept silently, on into the castle keep
silently they moved at a low creep
gaurds further in, enjoying a hot meal and mead
their backs to the fire as the told of adventures and greed
deathe fell upon them, from arrows swift and sharp
play the tune of the devils, from the strings of their harps
they moved further on, heading further up the tower
careful and sure, at this late, fateful, hour
then surprise hit them, as they walked up the stairs
a guard had spotted them, and yelled out their affairs
they quickly killed the guard, their concealment gone
but it was too late, for hell was yet to come
rallied by his warning, the guard's friends came
and so, twas hell, for blood was about to rain
