A Day to Remember
I remember when I could do my bestin the strength of my peers, best of the tests
powered by will, I stood my ground
in the cloud of judgement, I stood proud
I walk streets, I've walked lonely paths
I've slept in mountains, with only the cloths on my back
I've seen hidden things, few men should ever see
I've bled rivers, as red as red could be
I remember wars, knives, guns, even swords
I remember tyrants, on thrones of gold and their words
I remember friends, and companions, some long dead
I remember I am mortal, no judgement do I dread
I am alive, I am still breathing with nothing to fear
I'll still sleep in mountains, in cool, free, air
I'll still walk paths, whom never felt the feet of man
and I'll still have friends to join in battle again
everyday is a treasure, so remember every name and face
every minute is precious, because every day is a minute we waste
every second counts, so store each second well
for at any momnet, our life could go to hell
every day is a day to remember, for at least you can say...
"Ahh... I can still recall, I can still see, and even feel, that day..."
