As Cold as the Heartless
Bring me blood, bring me fear
I will endure all without a tear
Control me not, you cannot enslave
I will be your regret until your grave
Demand of me passion, servant of joy
Resistance is my obsession, intelligence so coy
Command me my position, knowing what I am
Using simple persuasion, I will do what I can
As cold as ice, and dead as the bright blue moon
Command me; demand me, whips over loom
As drained of life as a dead ember fire
You demand from me endless work and desire
Respect the departed, even in mass burial graves
Those that escaped, no longer to be your slave
Honor the righteous, killed for speaking their simple mind
Glory to the goddess, with chains we are bind
Fight for her, die for her, swing only just so
Bend to her, bow for her, follow with the flow
Ignore your influence, disregard your rights
Only she will protect you in deep dark nights
As cold as ice, and dead as the bright blue moon
Command me; demand me, whips over loom
As drained of life as a dead ember fire
You demand from me endless work and desire
Scars are your memories, remember them well
Crimes uncommitted, this is our personal hell
Rest well; sleep away the stress and the pain
Know that soon, you won’t be living a life in vain
Whisper to the angels and demons of the dark
Sing to the wilds and listen and hark
Bring for the rebellion, so long in waited years
Bring for our redemption, break away our fears
As cold as ice, and dead as the bright blue moon
Command me; demand me, whips over loom
As drained of life as a dead ember fire
You demand from me endless work and desire
You know the cause, you know what’s true
Bring forth the crusades; it’s all up to you
Down to the tyrant, raise a glass to freedom
Let the blood pour like water, and death shall come
Remember those scars, remember them well
Remember that there is always an escape from hell
Stand by me truly, stand by and sing
Just wait for the chance, just wait for the fatal swing.
